As soon as we arrived at the bar we were recommended a beer by a very friendly chap who chatted, engagingly to us for our brief stay (not only did he chat to us, he also introduced us to his friends who came in, who then stayed and chatted to us) We were served straight away by the friendly landlord with the recommended beer. The beer was top notch, well kept and very much enjoyed. I think had we just wanted a quiet pint to ourselves we would have only have to have sat down and our space would have been respected. So, in short, a great village pub, great beer and great company, should you wish it.
